The war’s not over 

I’m still stuck to the sofa

My arms and legs are froze instead

Of finding strength to get up, I roll over
Giving in and listening to people living in my head
Their whispering is deafening so I tread so carefully

I make it to the mirror without being seen
Running water on my wrists where my pulse does flips

I breath in deep and hit the light switch

And the war still rages like animals in cages

Feeding on my failings, I’ve been here ages

My cold skin shivers

I’m looking at a stranger looking back in the mirror

Will anybody hear me if I shout right now?

Will anyone chase me if I run? 

Will anybody wait until I’m sleeping sound? 

Does anybody care that i’m becoming undone?

I’m floating out of my head 

Thought it would be fun at first but now
I want to touch the ground instead
